Auction Results from Phoenix Convention Center
Thu, Jun 18, 2009
I attended the REDC auction with homebuying clients on July 13th, 2009. The day before the auction I let my clients inside each house scheduled to be auctioned with my special REALTOR key. We saw 8 homes and they decided to bid on 5 and they got 1!
REDC was auctioning off 400+ homes/condos/land
I arrived at the Phoenix Convention Center at 8:30am and didn’t leave until 3:30pm.
They do sell some snacks/food.
I paid $14 for downtown garage parking.
There was about 1,000 people there!
They do not allow photography so don’t tell on me!
You can have a Real Estate Agent (like me) represent you at no cost to you.
BELOW ARE RESULTS. I frantically took notes so you can get an idea of what the properties are actually going for. If you want details on a certain address let me know and I might have it for you.
Also, keep in mind when the auctionier shouts SOLD! he then says “subject to seller confirmation” - so these prices I’m posting here may not become a reality if the seller/bank does not agree to sell it for the auctioned winning bid price.
If I can be helpful to you don’t hesitate to drop me an email or use the contact form to the right. - Becky Wyatt (480-383-9209)

Excellent article & outstanding blog Becky!
I cover some these very kinds of things you addressed in classes I lead for real estate agents, but no where near as in-depth or as eloquently as the postings you have here on the REDC (& similar) auctions. I’ll refer interested persons to you here.
All of what I’ve seen with what you’ve done is wonderful - nicely designed & very well written by you! A tremendous website you’ve created here indeed. Keep up the good work!

Great, in-depth look at a pretty good auction opportunity. I also attended this sale, some great deals we’re had. I’ve fallen in love with buying at the trustee sales these days. There is a tremendous surplus of properties and with 8 months of median home value gains, job loss finally declining… things are on the up and up.
